To record a cover song , by law, you need a mechanical license.
No charge by us for the license, but there are fees involved. Songfile is the cheapest.( scroll down and click the "Songfile" button, for complete information) Should you decide to proceed, you can obtain the license right there, online, and have it, usually, within 24 hours. It's easy. In short, the cost is, $16. per song, for 1-5 songs. The price, per song, goes down for 6 or more licenses.
